If there’s one thing Springfield, Tennessee, can’t get enough of, it’s coffee. And luckily, there are plenty of coffee shops in town and nearby to satisfy your cravings. Whether you’re in the mood for an espresso, a sweet frappé, a cup of strong dark roast, or a simple drip coffee to get your day started, you’re sure to find it in the area.

Historic Perk

Historic Perk Coffee Shop, located in Springfield’s historic district, has served the area since April 2017. Central Perk, from the television show, Friends, inspired the coffee shop’s name. Historic Perk’s owners dreamed of supplying Springfield with a place for community members to gather and develop friendships, and they’ve done just that. The coffee shop boasts plenty of seating and invites its customers to visit often and stay a while.

Historic Perk’s menu offers its daily house brew, as well as pour-over and iced coffee. Espresso drinks are available, as well as plenty of specialty drinks, including the Ginger Snap latte, flavored with ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon. You’ll also find snacks, such as muffins and granola bars, on the menu.

If you’d like a bite to eat with your drink, you’ll find various breakfast items, sandwiches, and soups on the menu. For breakfast, consider a yogurt parfait or an order of biscuits and gravy. For lunch, try the BBQ grilled cheese sandwich or buffalo chicken flatbread. Located about 15 minutes away in Greenbrier, Golly G’s serves up a great cup of coffee, as well as plenty of bakery and lunch items. Order a steaming cup of the house brew or try something a little different, such as the Sunflower, a coffee drink flavored with vanilla, honey, and cinnamon. If you’d like to try a mocha, Golly G’s uses a homemade dark chocolate sauce to give their mocha drinks a rich, deep flavor.
